Motosoc

Beginning as a motorbike club in the seventies, Motosoc has expanded to include many more forms of motorsport such as 4WD, cars, jet boats, dirt bikes, road bikes and also social events. With continued support from the University of Canterbury we are able to promote our events to the campus' 16,000 students of which 400 are members of Motosoc.

Jepsen Ventures is proud to sponsor Motosoc providing them with their first Official Presidents car after reviving the club in 2005. JV now provides ongoing mentoring and support to each years president and offers advice as a key member on the clubs board of directors.

"We aim to better the university experience by providing motorsport, educational and social events for students studying on campus. In 2009 we won the award for top social club due to our diverse range of activities and event attendance."

"We feel that the quality of students that the university produces is in part due to the enriched experienced that clubs like Motosoc provide. Our involvement with students is purely non-profitable and our events and tee shirts are mainly funded by sponsorship."
